About L L Jacobsen Farm:
We are a small diversified family farm. We raise commercial corn, alfalfa and mixed grass hay, and recently, wheat and soybeans. We have both irrigated and non-irrigated pastures. Our grass-finished animals are grazed on high quality irrigated grass and legume pasture. Our cow herd has been transitioned to a model better suited for grass finishing. We are not currently organic, however we have discontinued using hormones and antibiotics in our cattle. We do not feed any by-products to our grass finished cattle. Our calves are fence line weaned for reduced stress. Most of our cattle reach processing weight and finish at about 24 months of age, but some will range in age from 20-29 months. Our target is that cattle would grade- high select to choice grade USDA. Animals are processed at C & C Processing in Diller, Nebraska (USDA establishment #21480). This is a USDA inspected facility and all of our "Range West" branded products are USDA inspected.Link to interview on Omaha's KMTV 3 "Morning Blend" http://www.omahamorningblend.com/videos/164416096.html
