About Beaver Valley Poultry:
My Daughter and I have always enjoyed our chicken flock and then one year she went with my class of 2nd graders on a field trip to a farm who supplied eggs commercially. After that she was hooked and the project began! We began fixing up old buildings we had on our farm to convert them into chicken houses, building nests, roosts, etc. Our daughter and her boyfriend began adding buildings to their farm near Danbury, Nebraska to make room for the baby chicks they were growing. Their hens have just started laying so we are both up and producing. We wash, weigh, candle and package all our own eggs on the farm daily. Both farms are located south of McCook, NE. We are licensed to sell eggs in Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado.
General Practices:
Our hens are supplemented with Non-GMO feed. The hens are free to roam outside as they choose. They lay their eggs in the same hen house where they go at night. 90% of all our eggs are laid and gathered by mid morning and the nests are checked frequently in between. If it is hot or cold we check more often. We make sure they are FRESH!
